What do you mean by 'Full Resolution Downloads'?
When you upload your images to your itasveer account, the original image is archived, and what you view on account is a medium sized version, suitable for viewing over the internet in a browser window.
By Full Resolution Downloads we mean that, you can download the original image from your itasveer account. For example, if you uploaded a 1.5 MB file, you can now download it anywhere, anytime from your itasveer account itself.
How do I download full resolution images from my account?
Assuming, you have previously uploaded photos to your account, you can download full resolution images in the following way.
- Login to your itasveer account by using the E-mail address and Password specified during your registration.
- Locate the image whose full resolution version is to be downloaded. Thus, if your image is in an album called 'Demo', click on Demo, and then on the thumbnail of the image to see it in a medium sized view.
- The actual resolution of the original image is reported above the medium sized view.
- Click on the Download Original icon,
. - Select 'Save'/'Save to Disk' in the dialog box which appears, specify the location and your download will begin.
What do you mean by the feature being in Beta?
This feature is in Beta implies that we are currently testing this feature.
Thus while the feature is fully functional, we expect our users to give us their feedback and report any errors or bugs which they might come across. We hope to use this feedback to further improve this feature.
What are the limitations on downloading full resolution images?
Currently, you can download 100 MB of full resolution images per month. This applies only to images downloaded by you and not images downloaded from your shared page. This limit may or may not be altered in the future.
Wait. I thought I had free unlimited storage space? Why these limitations
You still have unlimited storage space. That means you can upload as many images as you want completely free of charge. All the images that you upload are archived, and you can see a medium sized view of all your images, suitable for viewing over the internet in a browser window. Also, whenever you order the print of an image, the original image is used.
However, you can download your original full resolution images only as per the conditions stated above. Thus, while your itasveer account serves like an extension of your hard disk, it does not replace it, at least not yet.
What if I want to download more than 100 MB of full resolution images?
Currently, you cannot download more than 100 MB per month of full resolution images. When we release this feature out of Beta, we will offer a mechanism to download more.
